Promosalons, a not-for-profit association under French law 1901 headquartered at 104 Avenue Victor Hugo 75116 Paris, has as its object the promotion worldwide, to visitors and exhibitors, of international trade events and trade shows held in France and in other countries. It does this via representative offices worldwide, called “Local offices”. These Local offices may be Promosalons subsidiaries or partners with whom we have concluded a representation contract.

In the context of these activities, Promosalons and its Local offices obtain personal information from organisers, visitors, exhibitors and other partners. This data confidentiality policy applies to those data.

Promosalons undertakes to make every effort to protect the confidentiality of your personal data and ensure its security. In the interests of transparency, you will find below the main principles which we apply in order to protect your personal information, in line with the legislation in force and in particular the General Data Protection Regulation which came into force on 25 May 2018.

Promosalons and its Local offices collect mainly:

  • information relating to your interest in the trade shows and events that Promosalons and its Local offices promote worldwide (when you exhibited or which event you visited). We also collect information about your company which does not fall within the category of personal information, such as its business sector.

3. How we collect data

Personal information concerning you may be obtained:

  • by means of electronic communications sent to you: browser used, operating system used, links activated in the body of the message;
  • via the contact form accessible on Promosalons sites.

4. Why we collect data

Your Data are processed by Promosalons and its Local offices mainly to send you information and updates about our trade shows; to produce statistics, in particular about the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; to manage your enquiries, to contact you and to provide visitor guidance about the trade shows we are promoting.

5. Who receives your data

Your Data are handled by internal teams of Promosalons and its Local offices in strict compliance with certain obligations, particularly relating to security and confidentiality.

If your data are collected by Promosalons and its Local offices for the purposes of promoting an event or a trade show, under no circumstances will they be transferred to third parties, with the exception of the organiser of the event or trade show, which may be a legal entity external to Promosalons and its Local offices.

Nevertheless, when required to do so by applicable legislation, Promosalons and its Local offices are obliged to transfer your Data to organisations and authorities legally authorised to access them (in particular, the legal and public authorities).

6. Protecting your data

The Company takes all effective precautions to protect the security and confidentiality of your Data in order to prevent them from being tampered with, damaged, divulged etc, and to prevent unauthorised third parties from gaining access to them.

7. Your rights in relation to your data

In accordance with applicable regulations, you may at any time exercise your right to access, correct or remove Data relating to you and object to the processing of said Data.

Finally, when applicable, you have the right to have your Data deleted or to restrict the processing of your Data and the right to portability of said Data under the conditions strictly defined by the applicable regulations.

8. Period of retention of your data

Promosalons and its Local offices will retain your Data for a period that does not exceed the period necessary for the purposes stated in the present Policy. After this period, your Data will either be filed in order to comply with the legal obligations governing the Company or it will be destroyed.
