Guillaume Bourdeloux, CEO, International Paris Air Show (SIAE)

How did your first edition of the Paris Air Show go? What surprised or impressed you most about the show’s organization?
It was an intense and extremely stimulating first edition. What struck me most was the collective power of the show. Behind every participation, every aircraft and flight demonstration, there is a colossal amount of work carried out by a close-knit team, committed partners and a mobilized industry. This success is the fruit of a perfectly-oiled, yet ever-changing mechanism. I was surprised by the fluidity of this organization, despite its technical, logistical and security complexity. It’s a high-precision machine, just like the sector it represents.

You are a member of the Promosalons board of directors, and work with 7 major exporting countries on the visitor/buyer side. What does Promosalons mean to you at this stage?
Promosalons is an essential lever for the show’s international influence. Thanks to their network, we’ve been able to strengthen our ties with targets in countries that are strategic for us. This collaborative work with local teams enables us to adapt our approach to each market, with a more targeted approach and a better understanding of expectations. At this stage, Promosalons provides us with an irreplaceable presence on the ground and an ability to capture high value-added visitors, particularly in high-potential zones.

The Paris Air Show represents the three aeronautical sectors of civil aviation, defense and space. How are these sectors evolving in the show’s offering?
One of the great assets of the Paris Air Show is its ability to represent the three pillars of the sector in a balanced way: civil aviation, defense and space. Each is evolving at its own pace, but boundaries are blurring. Dual innovation, the challenges of technological sovereignty, the energy transition and the challenges of very high altitudes are creating bridges between these fields. The show reflects this dynamic, with an enriched offering in sustainable mobility, autonomous systems and satellite constellations. We are constantly updating our content to keep pace with these changes.
