The recovery plan for the events sector in France provides €4 millions to finance the invitation of international Top Buyers at strategic trade fairs with an international dimension. To carry out this mission, Promosalons works closely with the delegations in chosen countries and the event organizers.

As part of the “Destination France” recovery plan, which aims to consolidate France as the world’s leading tourist destination, a component of €100 millions is dedicated to professional events to support the recovery of the sector.

Substantial aid (€96 millions) is allocated to support new exhibitors at the main French shows and fairs. Another part (€4 millions) makes it possible to finance a program for the arrival and support of international Top Buyers at strategic exhibitions with an international dimension. This aid is supplemented with €1.3 million by Promosalons, the organisation which has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to deploy the program, and €500,000 by the beneficiary trade shows.

To carry out this mission, Promosalons works in close consultation with the delegations in the countries concerned and the event organisers, in order to define the targets, the supervision and the collection of the buyer’s needs, the organisation of appointments and on-site support. Invited buyers will benefit from transport, accommodation and catering offered for the duration of the show, and will take part in conferences and business meetings organised with exhibitors in their sector of activity, as well as sites’ visits. A maximum budget of €1,500 is allocated per buyer.

This program is reserved for international shows welcoming more than 10,000 visitors each, taking place between March 1, 2022 and February 28, 2023, and therefore involves the invitation of 1,020 Top Buyers over this period. About thirty trade shows will benefit from this program, 18 of which will be held in Paris region and 12 others in elsewhere in France, in various sectors such as food, agriculture, construction, fashion or new technologies.

To date, 15 shows have already benefited from the program (All4pack, Batimat, Carrefour international du bois, EquipAuto, Equiphotel, JEC World composite show, Maison & Objet, Le Marché du film, Micronora, Mountain Planet, SIAL, Silmo, SIMA, Sommet de l’élevage, Space), with 33 delegations covering some fifty countries.
