DJAZAGRO is the key event for local trade visitors to meet leading companies in the agri-food industry : processing & packaging, bakery & confectionery, food & drink, ingredients, flavourings & additives, catering, handling & storage, hygiene & traceability, services, quality…
The name of the trade show comes from “DJAZAIR,” meaning ‘Algeria’ in Algerian Arabic, and “agro,” representing the agri-food sector. Since its creation in 2003, DJAZAGRO has grown in popularity, with a steady increase in the number of exhibiting companies and visitors.
The trade show is held annually in Algiers and brings together all Algerian and international players in the agri-food sector. The Promosalons Tunisia delegation is involved in promoting the show to Tunisian visitors, while Germany, Belgium, Spain, India, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Arabian Gulf promote the show in their respective countries.
DJAZAGRO offers professional visitors the opportunity to participate in flagship events that contribute to the richness and expertise of the show:
- DJAZ PACK: an exhibition space dedicated to packaging technologies and applications, designed in collaboration with the ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS trade fair and the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences de l’Aliment et des Industries Agroalimentaires (ESSAIA). This area offers visitors the chance to discover the profound changes taking place in the sector, whether in terms of the materials used – cardboard, paper, plastic, glass or metal – or the new approaches that are gaining popularity for their performance, recyclability and environmental impact.
- DJAZ’INNOV: the innovation competition rewarding the most innovative equipment, products, and techniques.
- The Experts’ Agora: a conference program organized by Agroligne, a leading source of agri-food news across Africa and internationally. The sessions will focus in particular on export strategies from Algeria, food security and resilience in the face of global shocks, skills and training within the sector, as well as health risk management. Thematic workshops and technical tastings will also provide practical examples of these topics.
- Training Area: DJAZAGRO has created an area dedicated to training and innovation to support young people, professionals, and companies in their quest for skills.
