The round table organised by Promosalons to open their annual meetings brought together three speakers from Paris Je t’aime, SIAL Paris and Viparis, to share feedback from the Olympic Games on the services put in place that contributed to the success of the Games, and then to look at how these services could be used to improve the customer experience at trade shows.

Pollutec Lyon welcomes nearly 50,000 visitors, including around 20% international visitors. We work with ten Promosalons delegations, including most of our top-tier territories (Germany, Benelux, Italy, Switzerland) which represent the majority of foreign visitors. We work closely with these offices to refine our knowledge of the markets, understand expectations and identify the key players that we jointly wish to bring to the show.

Welcoming very large international buyers to Wine Paris is important for our clients, particularly for our major accounts whose offering and production volumes match the purchasing needs and projects of these major players from all four corners of the globe. The Top Buyers component managed by Promosalons allowed us to go further and complete our existing programs, firstly in terms of number but also in terms of diversity by targeting 15 markets that we had not prioritized but were eagerly awaited, such as South Korea, Japan and Australia.

We had the pleasure of joining Promosalons in 2012 with the aim of focusing our efforts on “wood-buying” countries. In 2012, we had 18% of foreign visitors from 74 countries. Today, we have 39% international visitors with nearly 100 visiting countries. This great increase is due to a structured collaboration and reciprocal monitoring between the teams of the different Promosalons offices and the Carrefour International du Bois team.
